When relationship becomes a key

When we're thinking our career will be focused on being fair and kind, it may leads to and exhaustive and hostage situation where business benefits does not match with personal benefit. There is a good chart how bias and ethical office politics need to be embraced for us to survive and progressed. 


So, when we entered a work environment, we mainly assume that the basic of our "work" is just work. It basically delivers our responsibility and task. But when we move up, we spend our time into more meetings and travels, which we need to deliver from others. And as the progress to more senior, our job more focus on how to influence people. Hence, Golf or building a relationship becomes a key success factor.
